In the region below 200 mV, in the course of studying the reverse branch of cyclovoltametric curves, gaseous hydrogen was observed on the surface of the oxide electrode due to the reduction of hydrogen.
During the secondary and subsequent voltage application (Fig. 1, colored branches) in the range from minus 150 to plus 450 mV, a reversible change in the transmittance of the samples occurred, corresponding to oxidation and reduction of nickel β hydroxide.
Samples obtained in the (EtCp)2Ni–О3–О2–Ar system at 680 К showed a change in optical density of 0.42 ÷ 0.65 and a staining intensity of 26.9 ÷ 30.7 cm2C-1, comparable with the literature data for nickel oxide layers (20 ÷ 40 сm2C-1) [5] and stability in cyclic tests for 1.5*104 cycles.

Firstly, the data acquisition concerning the ratio and dynamics of the components of brush wear during the lifetime test.
Secondly, the data acquisition concerning relation between the sparking energy and the force acting on a brush.
This leads to the current density decreasing in the sliding contact brush-commutator and therefore to the heat reduction which increases the brush resistance to the mechanical failure.
Out of the curves it can be seen that the force reduction from 3,5 N to 1,5 N (pressure 525-225 g/cm2) will lead to the increase of sparking energy in 10 times!
At the same time the data shown on fig.3 is useful for demonstrating the importance of choosing the correct force acting on the brush.

Results and discussion For the welded sample we got 20 pixel data to see the position dependent change of the crystal structure.
Figure 3 shows the cross section data for three SS samples summing over the whole area, since in this case we did not find the spatial dependent change of the cross sections.
This effect results in reduction of the cross section around the edges.

Each sample was tested three times to obtain reliable data.
Linear, quadratic and cubic curve estimation regression analysis was completed, on each power and the entire data set to ascertain if a significant relationship existed between the tested variables and COF.
These positive characteristics may be a result of more effective nanotube dispersion and distribution, strengthing the composites struture, the lack of pitting and striations possibly indicating a reduction of third body wear.
As shown in Fig. 8, ball milling and sonication have very comparable coefficients of friction (0.17), with sonication presenting higher standard deviation within experimental data.
Use of this method can increase materials properties to a greater extent than the most common mixing method, ball milling (within this study an average wear volume reduction of 4.3% in comparison to ball milling was achieved, all else equal).
