The phase transition mechanism of ZnO varistor ceramics induced by laser shock wave is the same as that of the metal materials in principle.
In fact, plastic deformation of metal materials is induced by laser shock wave, but elastic deformation of ceramic materials was induced.

The
practical value of this experiment lies in the fact that the prediction can be regarded as the new
approach for the NDT of concrete materials.
