In their studies, the perfect interface between two different materials is assumed.
For perfect interface the state vector keeps unchanged across interface of two materials.

Stresses around V-notch are obviously smaller than those around D-notch, and we suppose that it is because materials around V-notch which introduces intense stress concentration firstly yield under intensely increasing thermal stresses.

FRP-confined concrete structure
Fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) is a new material which composed of fiber and matrix material with high performance such as high tensile strength, good corrosion resistance, light weight, good applicability and so on.
The materials of CFRP sheets and steel tube wrapped outside of FSCC have low Poisson’s ratio, high ring stiffness and high strength.
The material of FSCC outer tube, which composited of FRP and steel, can improve the ductility of FRP material in FCC.

Abstracts: Under the action of compressive load, the growth and coalescence containing flaws in
brittle materials (rock and rocklike materials e.g.) will result in the local buckling and global
fracture of rockmass.
It is a typical mechanism of fracture in brittle rocks and heterogeneous brittle materials under uniaxial compression consists in propagation of pre-existing flaws and interaction of wing cracks.
In 2-D case, the wing cracks propagation from the inclined flaws are studied with different materials by many researchers, such as Horii, Nemat-Nasser, Peng, et al [2].
So the resin after freezing can be taken as rock-like material.
