The Influence of High Performance Concrete on Low-Carbon Economy
Changwen Miao
State Key Laboratory of High Performance Civil Engineering Materials, Jiangsu Academy of Building Science Co.
It brings severe challenges to the development of low-carbon economy in the field of civil engineering materials.
The engineering quality is alarming all the time.
In Britain, the maintaining expense for architecture and civil engineering is £1.5×1010, including £5×108 for concrete engineering.
The construction scale of Chinese infrastructure engineering is magnificent with annual investment of 2×1012 RMB including a great proportion for concrete engineering.

At present, interior environment researched have been partly doing by the researchers civil and abroad [1-5], but specialized researches aiming at the structure inner surface of interior ecological environment haven’t been reported[6], thus, this paper made study and compares in concrete examples about the interior hexahedron surface (ceiling, walls and ground), and gives out a basic methods and design concept for the interior surface ecological design. 1 Ecological design for ceiling So far as the vision rate, the direct view sequence if ground, walls and the ceiling, it’s only when people are laying in bed that they will focus more on ceiling.
