Introduction Magnesium alloys are expected to play an important role in next-generation materials, which have possibilities of contributing to reducing the total product weight when magnesium can be used to replace aluminum and mild steel.
When alloyed, magnesium has the highest strength-to-weight ratio among the metallic materials for structural applications.
Moreover, because of the ease of recycling of metallic materials, magnesium has received global attention from the standpoint of environmental protection [1].

Introduction The design and development of composite materials is one of the most important advances in the history of manufacturing materials.
Materials E-glass fibers are the most common of all reinforcing fibers for polymeric matrix composites.
Hardness of the composite materials was measured using Rockwell hardness tester.

Finite element analysis of interfacial stress of Mg-baced composites reinforced with short fiber Weixue Li 1,2,Shuguang Du 2,Jianfeng Dai 1,2,Qing Wang 1,2 1State Key Laboratory of Gansu Advanced Non-ferrous Metal Materials,Lanzhou University of Technology, Lanzhou 730050 2School of Sciences, Lanzhou University of Technology, Lanzhou 730050, China lwx@lut.cn Keywords: Finite element; Magnesium Matrix Composite; Length; Diameter Abstract: In elastic deformation range, this paper reports a finite element study of effect of length and diameter of the fiber on intrfacial stress of AZ91D metal matrix composites reinorced by short fiber.
The shaded region, OAFE, represents a fibre and is entirely embedded in a matrix material (unshaded region), both fibre and matrix materials are homogeneous and isotropic.

Recently, the similar materials are used to do the experiment both at home and abroad, yet it can't reflect the original nature and others of rock fissure in original rock mass.
Since the similar material are made of synthetic materials,it cannot reflect the original rock nature-like fissure and mechanical properties and so on.
Laboratory model test In this experiment, collected one large size of undisturbed sample of Tertiary mudstone from one project in Nanning, Guangxi,China, which is used as materials of laboratory model test of surrounding rock in underground tunnel.
