By spectrophotometric analysis it was possible to observe a significant reduction in oil concentration in the permeate for the Y zeolite membrane / alpha-alumina, thus showing that they have the potential for this application.
Characterization X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) - The data were collected from samples using the powder method employing a Shimadzu XRD-6000 diffractometer with CuKα radiation, voltage 40 kV, current of 30 mA, step size of 0.020 2θ and time per step of 1.000 s, with a scan rate of 2 °(2θ)/min with 2θ angle traversed from 0º to 50º.
From the data, presented in Fig. 3, it is possible to observe a decrease of 91.84% in the concentration of the permeate in the first 10 minutes of filtration 93.24% in 20 minutes, it remained virtually constant until the 40 minute filtration, taking into account the initial concentration .
