Introduction Matrix material of machine parts almost contains the material discontinuous zone (MDZ) which caused by material defect, contour structure, welding zone and components connection etc.
Result and Discuss The matrix material is GCr15, which Poisson’s ratioand Young modulus. The value of the discontinuous zone material Young modulusis considered between 10GPa which corresponds to soft material zone such as material defect, contour structure etc, and 250GPa corresponds to rigid material zone such as welding zone, components connection etc.

Biofunctional Materials for Nerve Regeneration Yu Mi Kim 1,2,a, Jin Gao 1,b, Blaine Zern 1,c, and Yadong Wang1,d* 1 Department of Biomedical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA 30332, USA. 2 Department of Biomedical Engineering, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, Korea.
Such biofunctional materials can potentially provide a new strategy for nerve regeneration.
The cells showed typical neuron morphology on PCD (Fig. 2) as well as on the control materials.
The level of differentiation increased with time on all materials.
This suggests that incorporating neurotransmitters into biodegradable polymers may serve as a useful platform for creating biofunctional materials for the engineering of nervous tissue.
