They measured the thermal properties and analyzed the key factors affecting the properties of this latent functionally thermal fluid.Eunsoo C et al. [2] studied the forced convection heat transfer characteristics of turbulent flow in a pipe and proposed a three region melting model to analyze the mechanism by which phase change material particles can strengthen the heat transfer coefficient of turbulent flow.Royon and Guiffant [3] described a model to study heat transfer in a circular tube forslurry with millimeter PCM particles.
Numerical results and discussion There are mainly 2aspects that would affect the heat transfer and heat storage performance using MPCMS as the heat storage media, which are the concentration of MPCMSand the vertical space between the tubes.
In Fig. 4c, the area which the convection can affect and the temperature changes is larger than that in Fig. 4b.
The vertical space is another important factor that influence the natural convective heat transfer, and the effect of non-dimensional vertical space of y* (y*=y/R) of 1.5, 3 and 5 were numerically studied by using 10wt% MPCMS as the heat storage media.
