High density oxygen-plasma etching and pico-second laser machining were developed to make micro-texturing onto the above two mold-die materials.
In the present paper, two amorphous carbon materials are selected as a mild-die material to be micro-textured: DLC coating and glassy carbon.
Using this glassy carbon mold-die, original micro-texture was duplicated onto PMMA (Poly-Methyl-Meta-Acrylate) sheet via the micro-mold-stamping system. 4.1 Micro-Texturing onto Ceramic Materials When using the micro-second or nano-second laser machining, almost all the substrate materials suffer from the heat affection where the laser beam has interaction with raw material abrasion.
