Therefore, in response to these challenges, pervious concrete (PC) has become an essential component of modern civil engineering, providing innovative solutions for urban infrastructure and environmental sustainability.
Besides, PCs with mineral additives exhibited higher performance in engineering properties, cost savings, and energy efficiency [8,9].
The infiltration rate (permeability) is a critical engineering characteristic of PC, indicating the rate at which water can pass through the material.

Phenomena of Multicale Fracture of Brittle Materials and Its application to Teaching in Strength Theory WANG Li , RUI Dahu , YANG Jianhui Department of Civil Engineering of Henan Polytechnic University , Jiaozuo, 454000 , China E-mail:wlcjwh@163.com Key words:multi-scale mechanics; strength of materials; brittle materials; numerical simulation Abstract:Multi-scale science is the challenge and opportunity of science in the 21th century, and turbulence of liquid and fracture of solid will be the classical problems of multi-scale mechanics.
So, in the fields of civil engineering and earth science, only the effects on macroscopic mechanics properties caused by changes at mesoscopic level and macroscopic level are considered.
Beyond these, are the failure size scale of engineering structure (failure-SS) and microscopic material size scale (micro-MSS), Fig. 3.
