The obtained CAs displayed the interpenetrating network (IPN) structure of the regenerated cellulose nanofibers network and the SiO2 gel skeleton in nanoscale.
The IPN structure not only make sure the integrality of CAs, but also endowed excellent mechanical properties to them.
Summary The intact cellulose-silica CAs with IPN structure were prepared with freeze drying method.

The analysis of whey proteins structure by CD spectrum showed that secondary structure of whey proteins changed in various pH(Fig. 1).Absolute value of [θ]216(deg.cm2.dmol-1) and [θ]222(deg.cm2.dmol-1)of whey proteins increased significantly,added 0.1% EPS at pH7.0,showing that increases in α-helix contents and β-sheet contents were obvious.The phenomenon of whey proteins added 0.1% EPS at pH6.0~pH5.0 was similar to that at pH7.0,whilst secondary structure of whey proteins added 0.1% EPS changed weaker at pH6.0 than pH7.0 and pH5.0.

Tetrabutylorthotitanate (Ti(OBu)4, Analytical Grade(AR), Tianjin Damao Chemistry Reagent corporation, China) as the titanium source was used to prepare the crystal TiO2 powder.
Ethyl alcohol (CH3CH2OH, AR, Tianjin Damao Chemistry Reagent Corporation, China) and acetic acid (CH3COOH, AR, Tianjin Damao Chemistry Reagent Corporation, China) were used as solvent and dispersing agent in the experiment, respectively.
The Rhodamine B (AR, Tianjin Damao Chemistry Reagent Corporation, China) was dissolved with distilled water as the simulated waste water .
D/max-rA (12 kW and Cu Kα radiation) to determine the crystal structure and crystallinity of the TiO2 particles.The crystallite size of TiO2 was estimated using the Scherrer equation (Demeestere et al., 2005) where k is equal to 0.89, the constants related to the degree of broadening, (0.15406) is the X-ray wavelength, is the half height width of XRD diffraction peak, is the Bragg angle.
