Under such state of surface preparation (mirror like) it is not possible to appreciate open porosity or the grain size of the materials.
It is noted that on the material's surface the number of pits or imperfections diminished as the acid concentration increased, meanwhile SiO2 developed on the ball's surface.
For the Si3N4 (S) balls after corrosion testing in NaOH solution was observed that at a concentration of 10% NaOH, corrosion proceeds by local attack, again starting at grain boundaries (GB).
Its degradation is a function of the solution concentration, i.e. initiating as isolated pitting and finishing with a greater corrosion conducted through the grain boundaries, Fig. 2.
Independent of the corrosive environment and its concentration the predominant corrosion type observed in these commercial materials is pitting, which proceeds through the grain boundaries.

The idea from fine-grained to coarse-grained in the original domain space is the original problem of space (X, f, T) becomes the new level ([X], [f], [T]) derivation.
The specific algorithm of the model is as follows: Step 1 we analyze the sample multi-dimensional attributes from the perspective of quotient space of coarse-grained.
We select sample attributes set X through equivalence relation R1 and the set X will be coarse-grained.
But the amount of the algorithm calculation will greatly increase when the number of the fuzzy clustering samples increases rapidly.

As to polypropylene powder (PP), its model number is 240.
The grain size of sawdust is in the range of 100~200 μm.
CaCO3 is industrial grade with the grain size of 15~20 mesh.
Its type, grain size and adding amount have obvious effect on the property of the wood-plastic composites. 2) Thermoplastic resin Thermoplastic resin (plastic) is another major component, which is called molding agent or binder in general.

(b) Texture coefficient of crystal grain after annealed in pure nitrogen.
According to Fajan`s Rules [19], the relationship between ion charge number and ion radius, Ni2 + and Ni3 ion radius (respectively: Ni2 + = 69 pm, Ni3 + = 70 pm) is not much difference, but because of its charge, so that the atomic spacing due to the impact of electronic repulsion generated unit lattice volume difference.
Since the annealing process allows the grain to grow again, it is understood that NiO is converted to Ni2O3 during the oxidation process under the influence of grain growth and size effect.
(4) Nickel nanowires annealed in pure nitrogen, the preferred orientation of the growth of crystal grain is NiO(111)

(5) In the formula above, is objective output of grain; is the expected output of grain; is the factual output computed of grain.
The calculation parameter is selected: take the size of colony popsize is 20; the length of chromosome code is 25; the generation number of most evolution maxgen is 100; the probability of crossover pcross is 0.7; the probability of mutation pmutation is 0.05.

It can be seen that the CVD diamond film (Fig.1a) exhibits a rugged surface covered by well-faceted diamond crystallites with grain size of 2~3 μm, most of which had sharp octahedral shape and exhibit <111> or <100> crystallographic orientations, suggesting it is a typical microcrystalline diamond (MCD) film.
Comparatively, the DLC film is mainly consisted of amorphous carbon phase, thus the surface of DLC film is smoother and no discernable diamond grains can be observed (Fig.1b).
The slight shift from the 1332 cm-1 in wave number was owing to either a compressive residual stress and/or a convolution of the microcrystalline domain size.
Another peak at around 1250 cm−1 is also visible, which is generally attributed to the amorphous carbon with high concentration of sp3 bonds, which existed on the grain boundary of the diamond crystals.
This can be attributed to a novel smooth sliding interface formed on the sliding interface during the “run-in” period by the combined effects of the wear debris adhered on sliding interface and the fragmentation and fracture of sharp-edged diamond grains occurred on the worn surface of MCD film.

According to the Dunham classification, both samples were identified as Sparstone, with blocky mosaic with relatively homogenous grain size (Sample A predominantly ~ 0.3 mm, Sample B predominantly ~ 0.5 mm).
The two main causes of this phenomenon are different calcite grain sizes (larger grains are more prone to decrepitation on heating) and different diagenesis conditions [8].
It was observed that the very similar crystalline limestones, identified as Sparstone (blocky mosaic with relatively homogenous grain size), with only a small amount of impurities, were burned to the lime with different microstructure properties.

Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to identify the grain size of the samples.
It is due to the optimum numbers of nano particles Fe3O4 at the grain boundaries to improve grain connectivity.
All samples have average grain size 5 μm.

QuFe23 welding wire made of H11 tool steel with a diameter of 1.2 mm (quada V+F Laserschweißdraht GmbH), and gas atomized Nb powder with a grain size distribution in the range of 45 µm - 75 µm were selected as deposition materials.
It was found that a block produced by using kz of 20% had the least number of unmelted Nb particles in the microstructure (Table 4).
An average grain size was measured to be 3.01 µm.
Therefore, a 20% value of kz was determined to be the optimum, which provided a minimum number of unmelted Nb particles.
When the kz had a value of 20%, the least number of unmelted Nb particles were observed in the microstructure.
