Introduction Although circulating fluidized bed (CFB) risers with the advantages of continuous operation, high gas-solids throughput and independent control of gas-solids circulation rate have been widely applied in many industrial processes, relatively low solids concentration and typically core-annulus flow structure lead to lateral segregation of gas-solids phases and reduced contact efficiency in these conventional risers [1].
To improve the flow structure and intensify the gas-solids contact, various novel risers have been proposed.
Although a few researches focused on gas-solids flow structure in these novel risers have been reported, no empirical correlation has been established to estimate overall average solids concentration, especially in the diameter-enlarged section, which is of great importance for proper reactor design and scale-up.

When designing a large-scale retort furnace, we need to manufacture the structure of the furnace reasonably and set the position of inlet gas holes skillfully to make the temperature field distribution in the furnace is uniform.
Through exploring the influence of the location of the inlet gas holes, and the structure of the furnace to the temperature field of the experimental furnace.
On the basis of the analysis of the simulated temperature field at some certain sections’(Such as Fig. 2 shown ), the structure and the intake position of retort furnace can be more intuitive to improve.
