The quality of jade material is evaluated through color, structure, transparency, impurity content and lumpiness [1-2], among which, color is the top priority and its acceptable level sometimes affect the commercial value of the jade.
Wet chemistry is applied to analyze jade sample so as to know the chemical constitutions of An’lv jade.

Introduction Quantum dots (QDs), artificial atoms, as the fluorescently labeled materials, had many applications in physics, chemistry, material, biology, medicine and so on because they had many excellent properties compared with the tradition dye such as narrow and symmetrical spectrum, fluorescent color could be changed by controlling the size of the nanocrystals conveniently, a wide and continuous excitation spectrum and excellent chemical stability.1 In recent years, the paramagnetic ion doping and ground magnetic semiconductor components had attracted widespread attention,2-5 and the doping technology was a good way to control the optical, electricity, and spin properties of the nanoparticles.2,5 Mn-doped ZnS QDs, instead of the CdS, had been investigated with the advantages of lower toxicity, larger Stokes shifts, and enhanced thermal and environmental stability.6-10 Currently, the main synthesis method was organic-phase and water-phase.
Results and Discussions Fluorescence and structure The Figure 1 (a) was the fluorescence and absorption spectra of the Mn-doped ZnS QDs, it was showed that the QDs appeared an emission at the 593 nm, and this emission was formed by the transition of the Mn2+ 4T1→6A1.
