EXPERIMENTAL 2.1 Materials: ZrO(NO3)2, La(NO3)3 and Ce(NO3)3 were purchased from LOBA Chemie and the chemicals C2H5OH, NH4OH, C4H9OH, CH3OH, Toluene, CH3COOH were obtained from Merck. 2.2 Synthesis of Bulk material: 10g of ZrO(NO3)2 was dissolved in minimum quantity of distilled water and the resultant mixture was transferred to silica crucible and then placed in a muffle furnace.
The materials having the band gape greater than 1.7ev can be used as wide band gape in semiconductor The usage of nano crystalline material may prove to be more beneficial economically in chemical as well as physical applications.
