Many researchers also focused on the cutting tool materials and tool wear mechanism, and the studies demonstrated that the abrasion mechanism in titanium alloy machining with different cutting tool materials was adhesive and diffuse wearing.
In summary, uncoated cutting tools and the PCD are regarded as the most suitable tool material for machining titanium alloys among the current tool materials.

In 1999, Habermeier found LITV effect in colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) materials La1-xCaxMnO3 thin film which grown on vicinal-cut SrTiO3 (100) substrates prepared by pulsed laser depostion (PLD) [12].
It shows that LaNiO3 single layer and LaNiO3/LaAlO3 superlattice films are all metallic materials.
