To enhance the microstructure properties and dimensional accuracy of drill steel, rigid plastic finite element methods were used to analysis the Mannesmann piercing in drill steel production.

However, soil anisotropy as one of the crucial factors affecting the behavior of sands is a less-known parameter due to a strong relationship between soil anisotropy and inherent characteristics such as soil fabric. soil fabric interrelates with soil anisotropy in the deposition process, where a grain assembly forges a unique structure regarding the environmental properties and inherent characteristics such as grain shape and size.

The properties of packed materials are not always included in the technical analysis process of the pneumatic transportation system, especially in the methodology of constructional and technological calculations.
Therefore the material must be additionally affected by vibration in order to release the particle bonding forces, the so-called autohesion and adhesion forces that emerge at the walls of volume; the forces affected by vibration reduce their values to quantities equal to the gravity force of particles that can be described by the relation (1) [7]: (1) where: h – number of contacts of a particle bonding point m – particie mass g – acceleration The analysis of materials that evaluate the practical solutions in such systems has demonstrated that in conveying PM the effectiveness of sucking in suction intake devices depends on the density of the material and approaches zero.
After analysing the manner of mechanical fragmentation of packed materials, it was concluded that the most prospective way to improve the pneumatic transportation process of packed materials is using the energy of compressed air in the suction head in order to fragment packed materials.
Causing pneumatic disintegration that has a direct influence on the physical and mechanical properties of the packed material – thereby improving the physical state of the transported material itself, and suction conditions in the output collecting zone, guarantee the stability of operation of the whole line.
To define optimal parameters and evaluate the effectiveness of the process of pneumatic fragmenting-disintegrating packed bulk materials, one must determine the factors that influence its behavior.

The aim of the investigations was to compare microstructure and selected mechanical properties of WC-Co-Cr coatings.
Hard tungsten carbide is distributed in the plastic cobalt and chromium matrix which gives good corrosion and wear properties.
Selected properties of WC-Co-Cr coatings are shown in Table 3.
In the case of coatings several factors detemine theirs good wear resistance.
The use of HVAF technique for deposition WC-Co-Cr powder caused more beneficial phase composition of obtained coating, which is strongly related with coating properties.
