It is known that thin films deposited by pulsed laser ablation using ultraviolet light are uniform and results in a smaller number of droplets due to the high energy of the light [1,2].
It is relatively easy to control the thickness of the thin film, because the thickness is proportional to the number of light pulses.

The quality of the alumina material were into the standards scope ; Grain size under 2 μ , porosity as well as density were low. .
During the first year of experience , a number of alumina component fracture were recorded .
These reports are limited in numbers and alumina ceramic material appears to remain one of the safest materials in total hip replacement.
To conclude not only alumina material quality ie grain size , porosity , density , are highly relevant to insure safety , but design is also very important ; Alumina thickness seems also a very relevant parameter , this could explain also failures encountered and published with polyethylene back alumina design.

It is well known that electrons in a metal are distributed over a number of energy bands, filling most of them completely.
The precise number of free electrons depends on the detailed configuration of energy bands [1].
The alternation of energy bands and the limitation by so much grain boundaries of aluminum nano-film cause an abrupt decrease in the carrier density.
Generally, the grain size of thin films decreases with decreasing thickness of the film [14], resulting in decreased limitation by boundaries and in increased carrier density obtained with Hall effect method [1, 15].
