Reducing the decay is possible by using modified materials (such as mixtures containing rubber) or by the layer reinforcement with geosynthetics.
Analysing the interaction between these materials is essential to understand the geogrid behaviour and its reinforcement function inside the pavement structure.
Fig. 3 - Micro-scale reinforced pavement system The materials data required for the simulation were assumed to represent realistic material properties published in previous studies (Tab. 1).

Introduction Multiferroic materials that combine spontaneous magnetization with spontaneous polarization have recently attracted a surge of attention.
However, the toxicity of lead has raised concerns and more environmentally friendly lead-free piezoelectric materials are in urgent demand.

The tubular textile composite material as the liner is inversed in the pipeline by gas or water pressure, and then the damaged pipeline can be rehabilitated.
During inversion, because of the inversion pressure, the tubular textile composite material must endure the complicated stress and strain.
The results show that the stress and strain in head of the tubular textile composite material during inversion is instability, where the stress is concentrative, so the head of the tubular textile composite material is easy to break.

Thermoelectric (TE) materials were considered as the best at converting waste heat to electricity.
With these regards, Co-based oxide materials with layered structures are possible candidates for TE materials[4-6].
Hence, researchers endeavored to find polycrystalline materials with high ZT value.
