In this study, the method of immersion has been carried out for 21 days (retrieval of data is taken every 3 days) at concentration which has the highest efficiency based on the calibration of potentiodynamic polatization.
It shows that the MP extract inhibitor enable to slow the corrosion rate in the sample even though it is still a reduction in weight of the sample.
This indicates that the formation of the passive layer by MP extract can lower the corrosion rate so that the specimen weight reduction in the inhibited system is not much more than the system without inhibition.

The data obtained in this study, clearly demonstrate that the strong inhibition of microbial growth was detected for all cotton textile samples treated via sol-gel method with zinc acetate dihydrate sol of the tested concentrations (Fig. 1).
After 24 h incubation, a tendency in the inhibition effect reduction was detected for bacteria with an increase of a temperature during post-treatment.
The results showed that the washing of the treated samples lead to the reduction of the antimicrobial effect.

It is substantiated that in the alloys of a new generation of ALTEK type, the use of homogenization and quenching operations is inexpedient, which implies the possibility of a significant reduction in the cost of heat treatment in comparison with industrial alloys, such as 1201.
