Introduction Aromatic polyesters, such as poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and poly(trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT) are outstanding materials in engineering plastics and industry products.

The material combination bronze against steel as typically used in powertrain applications was investigated.
Lubricated sliding systems such as journal bearings, cylinder liners and camshafts are common elements in automotive and powertrain assemblies.
Jet-ECM Bronze was selected for the Jet-ECM structuring because this is a typical journal bearing material and it offers excellent material properties for electrochemical machining.
By means of a ring-on-disc setup, the friction behavior of the typical journal bearing material combination steel-bronze was determined.

Introduction Sintered Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet materials are the third generation rare earth permanent magnetic materials following the cast and ferrite permanent magnets [1].
Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet materials is based on Nd2Fe14B matrix with the volume fraction of about 85% -97%, and the permanent magnet materials containing about 30% of rare earth elements (neodymium is about 90%).
