Among the various ceramic or glass-based materials for high microwave transmission, fused silica ceramics and quartz glasses are rather important materials due to their excellent dielectric and thermal properties.
The advantages of the designed materials over the conventional materials were well established; the FSs based materials showed a stable transmission spectra against the variation of the incident angle and the materials were also able to broaden and tune the waveband for efficient transmission of the EM waves.

Based on the "regulation and sand, with sand sand", for the lack of sandy material source such as plant and clay in Northwest desert area, Inner Mongolia, many scholars have tried using aeolian sand resources that widely distributed alongside the highway construction, making local materials into sandy barriers bags, a new type of technical measures used to prevent sand-fixation[11,12] .
Test facilities are cold and arid regions environment in Chinese Academy of Science and indoor medium-sized environmental wind tunnel in engineering research institute.

Introduction Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are anionic layered inorganic functional materials with unique structural characteristics and composition, including adjustable pore structures and high catalytic performance.
LDHs have wide potential applications and have gained widespread attention as catalyst carriers or catalyst materials[1, 2].
As a solid base materials, LDHs can be used as a high efficient catalyst in aldol condensation[3], transesterification[4], alcohol oxidation[5], epoxidation[6] and phenol hydroxylation[7].

Introduction Recent innovations of new materials allow machines and structures to become bigger, lighter, and faster, and this trend is still continuing.
For example, auto industry demands light and strong materials badly in order to improve vehicle's fuel consumption.
The magnesium alloy is the one of the metallic materials which recently receives intense attention since it is the lightest material in metal.
As we noted above, it is important to know how materials behave under multi-axial stress to fully understand phenomenon in the real life situation.
Satoh argues that each materials has its unique microstructures, and as a plate gets thin the probably of including low fracture toughness microstructures goes down.
