Flexural Vibration in a Ternary Locally Resonant Phononic Crystal Thin Plate with Defects
Zongjian Yaoa, Guilan Yub, Yuesheng Wang and Jianbao Li
School of Civil Engineering, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing 100044, P.R.
To overcome these shortcomings, Liu et al.[3] advanced the locally resonant (LR) mechanism of band gaps in researching the three-dimensional (3D) PCs consisting of cubic arrays of coated lead balls immersed in an epoxy matrix.
It is known that the plate with finite thickness, i.e., thin plate is practical for the promising applications in noise control and vibration shielding in engineering.
The introduced defects could be useful to the design in engineering applications.
Li: The 7th International Forum on Advanced Material Science and Technology (2010), accepted.
