In this context, it’s necessary to explore the advanced and effective management methods to help construction enterprises to get rid of the trouble.
Britain Strategic Forum points out a series of obstacles influencing supply chain management of the construction industry[1] , including: (1) The inherent characteristics of the construction project; (2) The difficulty of identifying who will benefit from potential efficiency improvements; (3) The high degree of looseness of project organization structure; (4) Lack of transparency of the cost, and often making decisions based on the enterprise's cash flow; (5) The inaccurate pass of the information in the production process; (6) The managers’ lack of confidence and trust in supply chain management.

The International Civil Engineering Conference (ICEC) is a series of meetings organized by the Institution of Engineers Pakistan (IEP) and NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan.
The ICEC 2024 theme was "Advancing Civil Engineering: Innovation for Achieving UN Sustainable Goals" to underscore the pivotal role that civil engineering plays in realizing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Advancing civil engineering is not just about building structures, it is rather about creating a sustainable future.
It is the premier national body of engineers working for the advancement of engineering profession.
IEP is also a member of six international/regional engineering bodies and has the honour to represent Pakistan at these forums.
