Traffic-related pollution should be controlled by reducing use of motorized vehicles, fuel consumption of cars and pollutant emissions so as to promote traffic safety, improve environment, and protect public health.
Therefore, the dimension of quality of life is put forword in addition to the mentioned above, and the people-oriented indicators reflecting public health, traffic safety, and happiness should be come up with in the following research.
As for the economic sustainability, quantifiying the contribution of transportation on economic development is considered under the circumstances of traffic congestion, traffic safety and transport pollution.

Introduction At present, the adaptive cruise control (ACC) is a hotspot of the automobile active safety and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) research.
In order to matching the traffic flow ,it can control relative speed and distance on basis of the current driving conditions and environment in real-time, meanwhile it can effectively reduce the burden on the operation of the driver and improve the active safety of vehicle[1].
The performance of ACC was examined by introducing various traffic scenarios.

Nowadays automobiles are with good performance and comfortable; however, safety gradually becomes an issue because of high incidence of traffic accidents.
Except for occupants injured in traffic accidents, other vulnerable road users, like pedestrians, are also in danger.
Introduction and Literature Review Nowadays automobiles are with good performance and comfortable, however, traffic safety gradually becomes an issue because of high incidence of traffic accidents.
The new model can then be applied to relevant tests and development of pedestrian passive safety system.

Increasing axle loads and traffic density made bridge accidents happened very often in China which caused the bridge safety assessment method in dire need.
As a method for bridge safety assessment, the structural reliability analysis is widely accepted.

Most traffic accidents occur at unsignalized intersections, mainly due to inappropriate behavior of non-priority vehicles.
Therefore, Figure.2 shows traffic safety at umsignalized junctions should be improved by giving warning to drives at appropriate locations before junctions.
