Abstract: Spindle-like hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles (spindle-like HMSNs) were fabricated via the template-sacrificial technique using hematite (Fe2O3) spindles as hard template, tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) as precursor and cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) as the pore directing agent.
Among them, template-sacrificial techniques, which can control the cavity size of hollow particles by selecting the size of templates are the most effective method for fabricating hollow structures [13, 14].

Introduction
TiC, with cubic crystal structure of NaCl type, has been widely used in many fields, such as aerospace materials, cutting tools materials, wear-proof refractory materials, because of its outstanding properties, including high melting point(3067oC), high elastic modulus(410-450GPa), high electrical conductivity(30×106S/cm) and thermal conductivity, high Vickers hardness(29-34GPa) and good compatibility with other carbides[1-3].
