Electrical discharge machining is based on the removal of material particles from the surface by an electric discharge pulse between electrodes immersed in a liquid dielectric, in the channel of which a high-temperature plasma is formed.
The use of electroerosive machining is associated with such main advantages as: - high precision and quality of processing; - cheaper, easily processed materials are used for the manufacture of tools; - processing of very hard materials; - the ability to process any conductive metals and alloys, regardless of their physical properties.
Electrical discharge machining is based on the removal of material particles from the surface by an electric discharge pulse emanating from the electrode at a given voltage (distance) between the electrodes immersed in a tank with a liquid dielectric.
