Friction couples, in which polymeric materials are used, are characterized by: low density, low noise, it has vibration damping properties, has good electrical properties and heat insulation properties.
Important factors affecting the threshold for starting the generator, generated power, speed and noise have been identified.
The manufacturers of power mini-generators, that is devices generating electric current from mechanical vibrations of surface, temperature differences, light, etc. have recently noted abrupt increase in sales.

It is important to underline that if the crack growth rate was measured within blocks of impacts (open circles in Fig. 5) an additional increase in the crack propagation rate by a significant factor (close to 6) is observed.
The IF blocks within the loading history also affect the uniformity of the fracture surfaces of adhesively bonded joints, as illustrated in Fig. 6.
Material properties were obtained from previous work [6, 8].
The LSJ is also suitable for this purpose but caution should be paid to changing mode mixity and multi-mechanism fracture path as the crack propagates in this test since these factors will affect the crack growth rate.

In turn, these inter-storey vertical bands are connected to the continuous horizontal masonry bands running at each floor levels: horizontal arches within the latter allow the transmission of the seismic forces affecting the inactive walls to the perpendicular active walls.
Vertical loading patterns varying the point of application of the self-weight of the piers: a) top section of the pier, b) center of gravity of the pier The seismic action is modelled with a system of horizontal forces affected by an increasing load multiplier l.
Regarding the mechanical properties of the involved materials, the specific weight and the compressive strength of the masonry material are taken to be equal to 16 kN/m3 and 2 MPa, while the yield stress of the steel ties has been set equal to 240 MPa.

The mechanical properties of an SLMed metallic part can be comparable to its wrought counterpart.
However, defects in the as-built parts such as porosities, balling, cracks, and rough surface, are detrimental to the final mechanical properties of SLMed part [5].
However, these defects have little effect on the properties of a grinding wheel.

The two non-dimensional factors are given by f1=1-ρfcf2ρpcp2 and f2=2ρp-ρf2ρp-ρf.
It can be seen that at 10 Vpp the trapping factor is less than 60% except the value at 0.1 mL/min.
At 20 Vpp, the trapping factors at all flow rates are greater than 60%.
At 30 Vpp, the trapping factors at all flow rates are approximately 90%.

The most important physical mechanical property of debris flow is its rheological behavior.
There are many influencing factors such as particle size, water content, viscosity of fluid, limit shear stress, and the friction coefficient of downstream bed.
The advantage of the model is that it conforms to the rheological properties of sand containing fluid flow process.
Taking into account of the experience of the secondary membrane bag dam and the physical properties of the tailing ultrafine particles, the membrane bag dam type is adopted in expansion design, and the sub-dam of each stage is 3.0 m.

Indeed, a low surface roughness improves the tribological properties, fatigue strength, corrosion resistance, and esthetic appeal of the product.
Consequently, the most important tasks in machining processes are measurement and characterization of surface properties.
This cutting temperature may cause several consequences, such as: (i) affecting the strength, hardness, wear resistance, and tool life (ii) difficulty to control the accuracy of the machined piece due to its dimensional changes (iii) causing thermal damage to the workpiece and affecting its properties and service life [5].
Cutting performances in turning process are affected by many parameters: · Cutting conditions: cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut; · Cutting tool geometry: nose radius, rake angle, side cutting edge angle, and cutting edge; · Workpiece and tool material combination and their mechanical properties; · Quality and type of the machine tool; · Auxiliary tooling; · Lubricant used; · Vibrations between the workpiece, machine tool, and cutting tool.
This is due to some errors caused by the measurements and other unknown factors.
