Introduction Cementitious materials have long been used for civil infrastructure such as highways, bridges and buildings.
However, the unexpected deterioration of civil infrastructure has led to the improvement of durability.
This study was aimed to evaluate the amount of silica fume addition and volume fraction of steel fiber on the engineering properties of cementitious materials.

Abstract.
Experimental Programme The Civil Engineering Faculty of the Technical University in Kosice is involved in the research programme dealing with the development of deck bridges with encased filler beams.
Experiments carried out at the Civil Engineering Faculty laboratories have been compared with a developed computational model that takes into account the real behaviour of deck bridges with encased filler beams.
