Effect of H2S Partial Pressure on CO2/H2S Corrosion of Oil Tube Steels Ying Wang, Ping Lia Department of Civil Engineering, Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology, Luoyang 471003, China aeappol@163.com Key words: Steel N80, Steel P110, H2S Partial Pressure, CO2/H2S Corrosion Abstract: The CO2/H2S corrosion behaviors of oil tube steels N80 and P110 at different H2S partial pressure (0.2psi, 3psi, 9psi, 18psi) were investigated by autoclave corrosion tests, corrosion rate calculation and corrosion morphology observation.
While CO2 or H2S corrosion is intensivly studied and engineering problems are being soluted, corrosion in CO2/H2S coexistent environments is outstanding and it is urgent to carry out relative study on its corrosion and protection.
It is hoped to provide theory base for material selecting and anti-corrosion engineering in oil and gas field.
