In this paper, the spent Activated Carbon (AC) which came from caramel plant was regenerated by the method of microorganism and chemistry.
The optimal ultrafine grinding time was 5 h at 1200 rpm by adding 5 ‰ Triethanolamine, the effect of ultrafine grinding was better and the minimal size distribution was D90 3.82µm, D50 1.62 µm. the study ofAC surface modification was explored while combining the similar characteristics of AC and Carbon Black in its structure and composition.

The combination of self-assembly and sol-gel chemistry has led to materials with tailored porosity (pore size, morphology, and arrangement) and has allowed for the preparation of films, powders, monoliths and spheres.
This approach can be advantageously used to design biomimetic and bioinspired materials [9] Another illustration of the high flexibility of molecular chemistry to elaborate hybrid materials with controlled structures is the elaboration of bridged polysilsesquioxanes.
Literature reports a large number of metal oxo-clusters with sizes ranging from 5 to 25 Å based on silicon, tin or transition metal chemistries that are potential nanobuilding blocks for the elaboration of hybrid materials [12,14].
Its structure consists of two orthogonal blocks of eight TiO6 octahedra with an organic shell constituted by 32 ethoxy groups.
These versatile nano-bricks are very good models to give information on the structure/mechanical properties relationship.
