The shear strength value of unsaturated loess is required in the design in geotechnical engineering in the North and the North West of China.
Introduction There is lots of loess distributing in the North and the North West part of China, the loess, which comes into contact with civil engineering in these areas, is always in unsaturated state, to research and hold its engineering properties is very important for civil engineer.
