The negative electrodes of the NiMH batteries (M = mostly RET5 type compound, with hexagonal CaCu5-type structure; RE rare earth- and T- transition metal(s) elements) are able to absorb up to 1.5 mass % of hydrogen but are sensible to cycling (periodical crystal lattice expansion/contraction) which gives rise to material mechanical deterioration and capacity fade.
The XDR examinations revealed predominantly CaCu5-type structure of the Sn-doped alloy, with slightly increased unit cell volume (ΔV/V ≈ 0.3%) compared to the precursor.

The study of Brik [9, 10] already investigated fundamental properties of the basalt fiber as a reinforcing steel replacement in the concrete structures.
The SEM micrographs are used to investigate the surface morphologies, and FTIR tests to find out the chemical structure.
Carbon nanotube (Carbon nanotube) was supplied by Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chengdu Organic Chemistry Co., Ltd. 2.2 Preparation of PTNSDPBASALT Carbon nanotube particles were deposited on the surface of Basalt filaments by sol-gel dip-coating technique.
It is clear that all of the reactions are happened at the time of treatment happened. 3.2 Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy In order to investigate the chemical structure of basalt fiber with different treatment, the FTIR test was done, the spectra is showed in Fig.2.

In this paper, the object of the present work was to investigate the structure analysis and the fluorescent properties of Ba2SiO4:Eu2+ single crystal phosphor on Ba - Sc - Al - Eu - O substrate.
The information was good agreement with the ICSD (Inorganic Crystal Structure Database) data (No.28476) for the standard Ba2SiO4 reference [8].

Polyamide-imides have alternative arrangement of an amide and imide structures.
Trimellitic anhydride (TMA) (from Aladdin Chemistry Co, Ltd., Shanghai), N,N-dimethyl formamide (DMF) (AR grade), Triphenyl phosphate (TPP) (from Kelong Chemical Reagent Co., Chengdu) and p-aminobenzoic acid (from Kelong Chemical Reagent Co., Chengdu) were used as received.
Structure of the imide dicarboxylic acid was characterized by common spectroscopic methods.
P--M and P--N containing monoimide units exhibited higher glass-transition temperatures than the others polymers as they had simple molecular chain structure and high bulk density.

Preparation and Fixation ability for Pb2+ of Geopolymeric Material based on Bayer Process Red Mud Xiang-li XIE1, Peng PENG2 , Wen-feng ZHU2 and Lin-iang WANG3,a 1 College of Chemistry and Bioengineering, Guilin University of Technology, Guilin 541004,China 2 College of Materials Science and Engineering, Guilin University of Technology, Guilin 541004, China 3 Ministry-province jointly-constructed cultivation base for state key laboratory of Processing for non-ferrous metal and featured materials, Guilin 541004, China awlinjiang@163.com Keywords: geopolymer, red mud, preparation, compressive strength, fixation Pb2+ Abstract.
Geopolymers or inorganic polymers are alumino-silicate materials which exhibit excellent physical and chemical properties, for example, high mechanical strength, low apparent porosity or nanoporosity, high Moths hardness, low thermal expansion at high temperatures, good resistance under freezing-thawing cycles, and excellent stability in acidic and alkaline environments, and a diverse range of potential applications, including precast structures and non-structural elements, concrete pavements and products, containment and immobilization of toxic, hazardous and radioactive wastes, advanced structural tooling and refractory ceramics, and fire resistant composites used in buildings, aero planes, shipbuilding, racing cars, and the nuclear power industry [9].
The granular internal structure of the materials can be clearly observed.
Compare to the geopolymer from pure metakaolin, the structure of geopolymer from metakaolin-red mud mixture is much compact at 10% to 30% red mud dosage.

The nanocrystal Cassiterite structure, with a size of a few nanometers (<6 nm), was identified by XRD, NMR and Raman measurements confirming a homogeneous dispersion of Yb3+ ions in the lattice.
Quantitative analysis. 50 mg of the powder samples treated at 600°C were mechanically stirred in a 3% solution of HNO3 to dissolve the Yb3+ not included in the Cassiterite structure.
All the samples result in a nanometric Cassiterite structure, doped with small amounts of the rare earth.
Peaks of the Cassiterite structure are visible and a minor size evolution with thermal treatment can be observed. 119Sn Solid-state NMR spectra are recorded for all samples (Fig. 3).
