The ohmic properties were evaluated by measurement of the I-V characteristics before and after annealing.
Electrical Properties I-V characteristics of the as-deposited and annealed contacts were measured to check for ohmic properties.
Structural Properties The effect of the Ti:Al ratio on the structural properties of the Au/Ti/Al ohmic contacts was investigated on the contacts having lowest resistivity.
Conclusions The results from the investigation on the electrical properties of nanolayered Au/Ti(70)/Al(30) and Au/Ti(30)/Al(70) ohmic contacts reveal that the different Ti:Al ratios do not affect the lowest resistivity value achieved.
In the case of the Au/Ti(70)/Al(30) contact this factor is the formation of ternary Ti3SiC2 compound, which is known to exhibit advantageous metallic properties.

It is noted that the resistance and behavior of a RC beam failing in shear under static loading significantly depends on many factors, such as the shape and size and the structural restraints of the RC beam, the loading condition, the amount of shear reinforcement, the shear span-to-depth ratio and the material characteristics[2].
Since the rapid loading machine can apply the load with the specified loading rate, the rapid loading machine is very suitable to investigate the influence of loading rate on the mechanical properties of RC beam specimens.
It was found that the test variables including the loading rate, shear span-to-depth ratio and shear reinforcement ratio clearly affect the load-midspan deflection relationships.
