At lower doping levels (0.1 N), the surface may show larger grains and less uniformity, with fewer active sites for gas sensing applications.
With 0.3 N doping, the morphology improves, showing smaller grains and increased surface roughness.
However, at 0.7 N, higher doping can cause agglomeration of particles, resulting in a reduction in surface area due to grain coalescence.
The increased resistivity at this optimal doping level suggests a higher density of charge carriers and a greater number of oxygen vacancies, which play a crucial role in the interaction with ethanol molecules.
At this doping concentration, the formation of oxygen vacancies is maximized, which increases the number of active sites available for ethanol adsorption [60].
