The initial abrupt downward current is due to the formation of a large amount of nuclei at the pore mouth and charging of a diffusive layer around each grain.
It is reported that the formation of such a peak is attributed to the nucleation-growth process of ZnO; in fact, it could be concluded that an increase in overpotential leads to a higher nucleation rate and number of active sites [19].
This voltage increase leads to a higher nucleation rate and number of active sites; however, SEM observation revealed that altering deposition voltage had a slight effect on the length of NWs, as the length of NWs prepared at three different voltages was roughly the same and reached to approximately 6 µm.

If we calculate the ratio between strength values and shrinkage absolute values at the arbitrary time, we will give by far the highest numbers for the mortars with ChS and high dose of waterglass (8, 10 and 12% Na2O).
