A cross-section curve is generated by discrete data, and then a surface is generated by the cross-section curve according to certain rules.

Defectivity data were collected on both blanket and patterned wafers.
The data are reported in the plot from the one with the lowest number of particles to the one with the highest.
In addition, a clear increasing trend of the number of particles with the reduction of the spacing [4] could be observed in the plot of Fig. 3.
These data lead us to hypothesize that the increased number of particles observed on the wafers in back positions could come from the back side or bevel of the patterned wafers in front positions [5].
It can be observed from the comparison of trial (a) and (b), that this new set of data confirms the results in Fig. 5a, since all the kind of defects, included the silicon flakes, have been significantly reduced with the introduction of the scrubber in the trial (b).

The measured temperature data are additionally corrected by a three-dimensional (3D) simulation to ensure a validity of the results.
Simulation Modelling Since the experiment always contains a temperature measurement error due to the delay time after current turn-off, a 3D-simualtion was carried out to correct the experimental data.
