Effect of Reinforcement Size on Concrete Crack Width with the Same Reinforcement Ratio Shi Nannana, Huang Dahaib, Zhang Runxiaoc Department of Civil Engineering, Beihang University, Beijing 100191,China asnn@dae.buaa.edu.cn, bhuangdh@tsinghua.edu.cn, ccrainshower@gmail.com Key words: Reinforced concrete; Crack width; FEM; Diameter Abstract.
According to the engineering experience, the smaller diameter steel bars are superior to the bigger ones with the same reinforcement ratio consideration.
In 1982, the United States civil engineering society published a review, which involved the concrete crack, bond-slip relationship between steel bar and concrete, etc [2].
Furthermore, the proposed method can be extended to other engineering cases with some modifications.
