Concrete was modeled using element Solid 65, a dedicated three-dimensional 8-node solid isoperimetric element to model the nonlinear response of brittle materials based on a constitutive model for the tri-axial behavior of concrete.
Sketches of constitutive models of concrete material and steel material Fig.7.
This may be that a concrete material in computational model is a more homogeneous material than actual.

During the past few decades, many successful research works have evidently shown remarkable capability of AE for early damage detection of composite materials.
Introduction During the past few decades, many successful research works have evidently shown remarkable capability of AE for early damage detection of composite materials [1] and it is very suitable for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) system [2].
However, in composites, the challenge for a reliable and accurate AE results is huge due to the anisotropic behavior of the materials.
Even though the results were reasonably good, almost all works were only up to case specific but not competent enough to apply for wide range of materials such as composite materials.

The conventional approach for extraction of chitin from raw materials such as crayfish, crab, shrimp, and other organisms such as fungi and insects is a time-consuming process.
Materials & Method Pre-treatment of insect biomass The BSF larvae, prepupae and cocoon samples were obtained from a local supplier in Temerloh, Pahang.

In the theoretical study of thermophysical properties of materials at high temperature and pressure anharmonic effects are important.
During literature survey, we observed that the studies of thermodynamic properties of materials have been done by first principle methods employing mean field potential [2, 3].
Conclusion Our computed results confirm that presently used coupling scheme successfully reproduces anharmonic properties of materials at extreme environment.
