Introduction Mg-based alloys have been considered as attractive hydrogen storage materials because of their high hydrogen capacity, light weight and low cost.
However, the slow desorption kinetics and high thermodynamic stability of the materials restrict them to actual applications.
Experimental High-pure elemental powders of Mg, Ni, Ti and Al were used as starting materials.
