However, it is difficult to get satisfied regeneration sand using the traditional mechanical and pneumatic regeneration because that the resin coating on the surface of alkaline phenol formaldehyde resin bonded sand has a certain toughness, and there is a large number of used sand abandoned, resulting in environmental pollution and waste of natural resources, which may restrict the promotion and application of the alkaline phenol formaldehyde resin bonded sand process.
It can be seen from Table 2, the shape factor of the sand is not significantly affected by a variety of regeneration methods and the sand grain shape is not subjected to baking and mechanical regeneration.
