There are many advantages in using epoxy resin as matrix and reinforcement to produce composite materials, such as light weight, high strength and high elasticity coefficient, high design freedom, good fatigue endurance, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and small thermal expansivity, it can be applied to household goods, adhesive, chemistry, space industry, electronic products, sports equipments, means of transport and medical research.
The unmodified carbon nanotube is mainly of benzene ring structure, therefore, there will be an obvious C=C characteristic absorption peak of aromatic ring in 1600~1475cm-1.

In the present study in order to modify the surface chemistry and avoid the agglomeration of the carbon nanotubes in the Ag/CNT composites, electroless coating of silver using ultrasonication was given to carbon nanotubes.
