HCl was slowly dropped into the flask with stirring to keep the pH value of the solution in the range between 1 and 2.
Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra were recorded between 400 and 4000cm-1 with a resolution of 2 cm-1 on a Prostar LC240 Infrared Spectrometer (USA).
The relationship between gel time and temperature of PF and HPSi/PF resins is shown in Fig. 1.
In the process of the curing reaction, the peak intensities of –OH at 3375 cm-1 decrease gradually, while those of the absorption bands assigning to C-O-Si at 1140 cm-1 groups increase apparently, which can prove that the co-reaction between Si-OH in HPSi and phenolichydroxyl occurs successfully.
