Inadequacy of floating zone growth method includes: The surface tension flow which is due to surface tension gradient can cause uneven growth of crystals in melting area under microgravity conditions [3][4], which may lead to uneven optical and electrical properties of materials and eventually damage the performance of semiconductor electronic and optoelectronic devices.
