Introduction
Chatter is one of the most serious limitations for productivity and part quality specially in cutting
difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium and Ni-Based alloy.
Conventionally, these materials were usually cut with uniform pitch cutters.

Particulate erosion in ductile materials erosion is caused by a micromachining process.
The primary factor controlling erosion in ductile materials is the material hardness.
As the target materials show brittle characteristics, the particle erosion shows a different manner.
Journal of China University of Petroleum (Edition of Natural Science), Vol.34(2010), pp.114 [3] C.
