Abstract.
To be able to define what mutual interaction of components made of same or different materials, which are in sliding motion to each other, will be like, it is essential to characterize the friction.
Parameter, characterizing resistance of surfaces of couple of bodies from same or different materials in process of friction is called coefficient of friction (m).
The force of friction has the direction of the tangent to the surface of journal (Fig. 1), [4].
