These modifications in mechanical properties can be explained in the terms of an increase of the dislocation motion in the grain boundary.

The disorder structure of the nanoparticles film leads to enhanced scattering of free electrons, thus reducing electron mobility and causing electron recombination especially at the grain boundaries between the nanoparticles [8].
