From explained
backgrounds, we constructed a program of national project on advanced magnesium alloys.
Subsequently, three categorized groups in the project, namely, advanced structural materials design, eco-materials design and processing, and processing and new functional materials design and processing, will be directed towards the development of advanced magnesium alloys as sustainable society-supporting materials.
Advanced Structural Materials Design and Processing The first research group of our project is dealing with advanced structural materials design and processing for the attainment of high mechanical performance.
Through this conference, further steps are to be taken towards science and technology for advanced magnesium alloys in the 21st century.
Forum Vol.419-422 (2003), p.605 [17] S.

A review of the metallurgical and practical engineering reasons for this success is
presented, and new understanding for behaviors in these materials, expected to impact future
advances in hot- and warm-forming technology, are described.
The competition between failure mechanisms leads to unusual behaviors, which engineering intuition alone may not predict.

Introduction
Environmental engineering is an emerging discipline which is the multidisciplinary combination of science and engineering.
The curriculums were adjusted to engineering mechanics, fluid mechanics, hydraulics, engineering drawings, electrical engineering, environmental engineering principles, chemical principles, environmental monitoring, environmental engineering and environmental biology.
There are some whole production engineering, mature technology and advanced equipment can not learn in textbooks, so practice bases can make up for the deficiency.

FOREWORD
This special issue of Materials Science Forum is dedicated 'in memorium' to Dr.
This Conference was coordinated by an International Committee and it provided a forum for the presentation of the latest advances in all areas related to particulate materials.
The main objective of this conference was to promote closer contact between professionals involved in heat treatment activities, quality control, product engineering and after sales.
Its success was due to the multi and trans disciplinary environment that helped guide discussions at the interface of healthcare and different engineering fields, making it a fertile environment for new researches and collaborations.
It was the biggest Latin American Forum for the dissemination of processes, equipment, products and services related to Surface Treatments.
