In recent years aircraft maintenance practices have been influenced by changes in aircraft design philosophy and improvements in engineering technology.
Well known literature on the subject of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) cited studies done on civil aircraft describing patterns of failure that contradicted the belief of a relationship between reliability and operating age.
In broad engineering terms, ‘ageing aircraft’ is a term used to describe aircraft which are exhibiting one or more of the systemic effects of age and use, be it airframe fatigue, corrosion, or component failures through wear out- Fatigue engineers tend to be more selective and define ‘ageing aircraft’ to be aircraft which have exceeded their certified airframe design life [6].

Design and Research on the Warm-mix Rubber-Modified Asphalt Mixture Based on the GTM Method Zhengzhong Li 1, 2, a, Di Wu 3,b, Xiaoyan Song 1, 2,c, Han Zhu 4,d 1 Tianjin Municipal Engineering Research Institute, Tianjin, China 2 Tianjin Road and Bridge Engineering Technology Center, Tianjin, China 3 College of Civil and Transportation Engineering Hohai University, Nanjing, China 4 School of Civil Engineering Tianjin University, Tianjin, China alizhengzhonglzz@163.com, bwudi@163.com, csongxiaoyan@163.com, dzhuhan@163.com Keywords: GTM, Evotherm warm-mix technology, rubber-modified asphalt mixture, design study Abstract: By using GTM method, with equal volume parameters as the criterion, determined the suitable temperature of Evotherm warm-mix rubber-modified asphalt mixture, and applied Marshall method for repeated experiments, holding that GTM method could increase the cooling rate.
Warm-mix technology can effectively reduce the mixture construction temperature, with a significant energy saving and environmental advantages[1]; by the use of waste tire crumb rubber as asphalt modifier, rubber-modified asphalt material technology can effectively improve the performance of conventional asphalt, and can also significantly alleviate the pollution problems caused by the accumulation of waste tires[2];GTM design method conducts material design by measuring and reckoning the mechanical properties of the mixture, thus achieving integration design of material properties and structural properties[3].The aforementioned technologies have been successfully applied to engineering practice and reflected their technical advantages; if these technologies can be effectively integrated to improve the traditional paving technology from the perspectives of construction, material and design, it is bound to achieve greater economic, environmental and social benefits.

Prediction and Measurement of Lamb Wave from Debondings at Structural Features in Composite Laminates Ching-Tai Ng1,a, Martin Veidt 2,b 1School of Civil, Environment & Mining Engineering, The University of Adelaide, Adelaide, South Australia, 5005, Australia 2School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering, The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Queensland, 4072, Australia aalex.ng@adelaide.edu.au (corresponding author), bm.veidt@uq.edu.au Keywords: Debonding, Lamb wave, scattering, finite element, composite laminates Abstract.
Introduction Cost effective and reliable safety diagnosis of engineering structures is a difficult task as the structures usually contains complex structural system.
In recent years composite materials (e.g. composite laminates) have been widely employed as primary structural components in different areas of engineering, such as civil and aerospace engineering, due to their high specific stiffness and light weight characteristics.
Composite laminates consist a number of fibrous composite material layers to provide required engineering properties.

To use the proposed approximation approach successfully aiming to solve the problem of determining of displacements in an element (generally, for any cross-section) with a normal crack, one should create a database with approximation functions like (7), to enable engineers and designers to use in practice such approximation dependences for any cross-section parameters.
This will save engineers in practical design to carry out complex and cumbersome calculations, and focus them on the design and save a lot of time and money. 4.
