Especially, tung oil anhydride-ester polyol (TOAEP) can be used as substitute of polyester polyol and/or polyether polyol in the synthesis and modification of polyurethane materials.
The analytic result suggests that when material ratio is 3:1, the hydroxyl value is low and the reaction is incomplete; however, the hydroxyl value derived from material ratio 5:1 increases few than material ratio 4:1, moreover, the separation difficulty significantly increases because of the adding of excessive ethylene glycol.

His tenure at the Department of Materials at Oxford spanned a time of explosive growth in the field of Materials Science.
He was instrumental in the establishment of an undergraduate curriculum in Materials Science at Oxford, and was an effective leader in the field both through his own scholarly pursuits and his editorial guidance of a number of prestigious scientific journals.
Preface This volume contains papers presented at the 7th International Conference on Intergranular and Interphase Boundaries in Materials which was held June 26-29 in Lisboa, Portugal.
With these advances the engineering of interfaces to design materials with required properties is becoming an increasingly attainable goal.
It is our hope that these Proceedings will promote both a better scientific understanding of interfaces and grain boundaries in materials and improvements in the technologies which utilize materials where properties are controlled by interfaces.

Materials and Methods The substrate materials were commercially pure Ti (cp-Ti) sheets grade 2 (12x16x0.9) mm³.
This can also indicate that they are non-citotoxicity materials.

Introduction Recent developments in the analysis of plates and shells laminated of fiber-reinforced materials indicate that thickness has more pronounced effects on the behavior of composite laminated shells than on isotropic laminated shells [1].

Fixed abrasive products can be regarded as engineered composite materials, made of four elements: one or several abrasives; A bond to hold or support the abrasive(s), such as resin or polymer based, vitrified or ceramic based, etc [2].
With characteristics such as the variety of sources of raw materials, low cost, easy to professional production etc, resins are widely used as bond of fixed abrasive products.
SiO2 particles is better bond with oxygen in materials, to improve the bond forces in molecules.

A Vision-based Gap Detection Method during the Placement of Large-scale Composite Structures The work is subsidized by Natural Science Fund of Jiangsu – model predictable on-line detection in automatic fiber placement for composite materials (BK2008401).
Introduction Advanced composite materials such as carbon fibers (CF) and boron fibers (BF) have much good properties in civil aircraft [1].
Pat.No.5562788 [4] discloses a method of and apparatus for detecting flaws in composite materials after they are placed on a substrate by an imaging system including a laser analog displacement sensor.
During the placement, as the materials of substrates among adjacent layers are same, the feature of gap is not clear or stable when acquiring the surface image using common methods.

Traditional light diffusant can be divided into two categories, organic and inorganic materials.
Organic–inorganic hybrids are amongst the most promising materials since their physico-chemical properties can be readily tuned by judicious formulation.
