Hence, reducing the use of cement or adopting a cement-free process became the new direction of environmental engineering development.
Research groups of civil and environmental engineers collaborated with microbiologists and geochemists, and successfully utilized bacteria to solidify sandy soils into materials that could be used as roadbeds or concrete reparation (1-5).
The focus of this research was to explore methods to solidify sediments or soil particles into usable material with the growth of microorganisms, and further incorporate this process into actual and profitable engineering procedures.
Therefore, this engineering procedure had become a new topic of research, and may be considered as an environmentally sustainable method to reuse reservoir sediments.

Finally, the experimental results showed that mechanical properties of such nodes are well and can be applied in engineering practice.
Such connections can be applied in engineering practice and meet the seismic design principles of “strong column, weak beam, node stronger”.
The results provide reference for the theoretical analysis and the solution has an important practical value for engineering application
